The motive.
That's not Machi, no. That's a certain young boy with a certain terminal illness. And it makes me sad to think about him.
The game could have tugged at our heartstrings 'til they snapped if they talked about Daryan's motive a little further. Because he took the risk to save this kid. If things had gone a little differently, Daryan could have been a hero.
But the moral of the story, it seems, is that the ends never justify the means.

Poor kid. I don't want to think about what happened to him now.
You tried your best, Daryan. I wish it didn't end the way it did.
I'm not sure what else to say, other than I agree that they should have developed that part of the story a bit better (it would've made that case even more awesome), and that this is a really nicely-done picture.
